Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

The birthday of actress Ashton B. Whitty falls on 1 October in Berkeley, California. She is an actress, well-known as the actress behind Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House

Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is made up of actors, and she herself has been pursuing both careers. She made her debut at the age of nine years old in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). In 1988 the film of Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played the role of Cristina Comencini's Zoo. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, featured her part in the role of Nanni Moretti's young daughter. Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) was the point at which Asia started to really become a household name. This allowed her to progress from the roles of young girls into more complex, mature character. It was a huge success at the Cannes International Film Festival. The actress has produced three films with her dad, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome, and Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera will be her third film with her Father, the first two films being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's absorbed and intense approach to acting has also been used in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau directed her in Queen Margot in which she played a prominent role. Her next collaboration was with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion in 1995, earning her another David di Donatello, as well as a Grolla D'oro. In 1994 Asia decided to try her hand at directing and turned out two short films, Prospettive and Prospettive in 1996, she directed a documentary on her father. In 1998, one on cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998) that was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia produced her first film in Scarlet Diva (2000). It was a collaborative effort with Asia and screenwriter/actor Linda McCartney. It was released on May 20, 2000 both in Italy and across the globe. The film was awarded an prize during the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was born in 2001, after having directed a few music videos. In 2002, Asia starred as Jean-Marc Barr's co-star The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) as well as Vin Diesel was the star of Rob Cohen's action thriller The Action. Asia is the author of several short stories, which were published in a variety of magazines.
